The Shepherd 1" heavy duty threaded stem FeltGard glides offer superior floor protection with the adjustability of height. These glides feature felt bottoms that reduce friction and noise, and they prevent scratching of hardwood and laminate floors. They attach easily with 1/4-inch x 20 x 1-inch threaded stems and are designed for use with displays, office equipment, and household furniture with threaded sockets.

The felt allows for discreet scratch-free motion over wood, tile, and laminate floors, but some applications justify attachment methods beyond traditional self-adhesive. The taupe plastic base with a steel threaded stem and a heavy-duty beige felt underside screws into plastic threaded sockets for customized leveling.

The glides are easy to install. Users should pre-drill an 11/32-inch diameter pilot hole 1 inch into the wooden leg to securely position the plastic socket before screwing in the threaded base. However, these glides are not intended for use on angled chair or table legs. The threaded design allows for customized leveling and height adjustment.

The kit contains four 1-inch round taupe plastic and heavy-duty beige felt threaded bases, plus four plastic internal threaded inserts.
